A. Lost In The Outreaches is a collaborative fiction Universe with a SciFi setting. The entire franchise is licensed under a Creative Commons license. Anyone is allowed to join, add, and have fun with the fictional universe.
Q. What's the benefit of creating works within the context of the Lost In The Outreaches franchise instead of just creating on my own?
A. You are able to draw on the existing material for structure and inspiration. You are also able to tap into the promotion that the other collaborators are putting into the Lost In The Outreaches franchise. Instead of being a small lone voice, you are part of a very powerful choir.
Q. How do I participate?
A. You can participate by creating works within the context of the Lost In The Outreaches universe. Works can be, video, audio, text (stories, poetry, log entries, in character journals. . .), digital images, paintings, sculptures, clothing, or anything else. Works can be submitted to me for inclusion on the main site (lostintheoutreaches.com).
Q. How exactly do I submit a work for inclusion in the main site?
A. Upload your work to any appropriate service (videos can be uploaded to youtube, vimeo, etc. Photos to flickr or photobucket etc). Then email me a link. semjaza@gmail.com.
Q. Any tips for what's going on in the Lost In The Outreaches universe?
A. Check out the Books Of The Outreaches section of this site. Those are a good source of general "in universe" information.
Q. Is what I create still mine?
A. Yes, what you create is still yours, however when you create in the context of the Lost In The Outreaches collaborative franchise you agree to license your derivative work under the same creative commons license as the original.
